When you think of food coloring one of the first things that comes to mind is usually, Easter Egg coloring. For those with sensitivities to artificial dyes it was often an opportunity missed. Today we have multiple natural food color options to chose from.

In the early days of natural food color it was mostly DIY at home and the results were beautiful and pastel, it was very difficult to achieve brilliant rich colors until now. A plethora of natural coloring kits, gels, drops and powders exist to help you create any color for your egg dyeing goals. Here are some of our favorite articles for those of you who like to DIY…. We strongly suggest you run a couple trials before the big day. Making your own natural colors can be a great educational tool and a lot of fun to do with the kids as well. Grab a couple T-shirts and use the remaining color for tie-dye or drip dye projects to complete the day.
